Hi,
I went to Brixcon twice, I think, stayed at the Red Lion the second time. I enjoyed the social side but found the games difficult as I was used to playing on a 8 x 5 ft table using a smaller playing surface, 4 ft square, certainly changed the manoeuvring and firing dynamics.

I still have my armies and some extras to paint up when I get the inclination. It would be good to have an AK47 day or weekend again.

Best wishes,
Martin Buck

An hour in, Les, but taking my time chatting about mechanics etc. It's not easy managing the camera and doing everything on the table yourself. Going to actually start playing the game tomorrow at some point.

I then intend to replay using AK47 Reloaded. I'll go through the same process.

I think, it will be next year I feel, we can arrange to have an AK47 Saturday at Entoyment early next year. Maybe go onto the Sunday morning if some people want to stay over ? But letís get this year out of the way.

No, but she's too busy with home schooling and tennis lessons now that they are back.

Her year isn't one of the ones scheduled to return on 1st June, but I'll eat my hat if any children do actually go back to school on that date.

Sean, I am sure I can bash out a fine video on Quadratic equations (roots, completing the square, formula and iteration) for Ava. She would be very grateful to you for suggesting it I think. :)

Then as wargamers we could argue about the answers. :)

Sean she'll be able to get on top of her media studies, great for the tennis analytics, and the computer work for remote learning.

True. We've just finished a project on King Tut. The whole bit about removal of the brain using a hook shoved up the nose has fascinated her.

Turns 1-4 of the game are done. Bad light stopped play last night. I'm really looking forward to playing the 2009 Reloaded version to compare and contrast the two rulebook.

Having reread the rules last night its reminded me how good a game Reloaded is and how it improved on the original. This will be reflected in my video review. The original certainly has its place, and in many ways is a more straight forward game. But the Reloaded version just has that extra level of detail that makes the game more immersive.

Hopefully finish the game tonight after work.

I think next year we will have to have an AK47 day, or even if people can stay make a weekend of it down at Entoyment?
Might help Martin with some ideas when it comes up for renewal ???

Agreed. It's along time since we had an AK day.

That would be good - my figures (bizarrely the largest force in my collection) have never been in action   :'(

Looking forward to watching the rest of the game.  Also very interested in the Reloaded game as well.

I am sure that the Dictatorship will be victorious! ::)
