Airfix Forts and Castles
« on: March 12, 2020, 04:05:00 AM »
I am on the look out for an old Airfix:
Fort Apache
Fort Sahara
If any one has any of the above, donít mind what state they are in, I can repair them ?
I am happy to pay sensible prices for them.

Well Miles if you need more it seems there are at least some 3d files out there as someone  remembers as well as we do.

I like the Turret and pillbox on the gun Emplacement. It looks like the single 5.9inc turret that you had on the Narvic class destroyers.
I have both of those, which I got a couple of years ago at good low prices.
The Apache fort I am having off Martin, once we get to see each other.
So I am still looking for a Sahara fort. It can be in a poor state and in more pieces than it should be ?
I can rebuild it. If not I will have to scratch build it later this year.

Just posted as i had one of the Airfix forts too....as aperantly did the designer.  If you are interested I can put you in touch with the designer.

Ah well if you have the Sahara fort ? However it can sold or made ? As a file or whatever as I would be interested, as I have to adapt it to a 12 x 6 template anyway ?

Miles/Martin

The very talented gentleman who made them is Jens Najewitz. His website & contact is https://3dprintterrain.myshopify.com/

Now i suspect he could do the sahara fort but like figures would prob have to know there was a suitable market.
As to second hand copies over here..... i have not seen them in years. I donít even know where mine ended up,

As an alternative to the Airfix Fort Apache the Usborne Cut-out Wild West Fort is available again: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cut-out-Wild-West-Usborne-Models/dp/0746093454/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=9780746093450&qid=1584891695&s=books&sr=1-1 other sellers may have it cheaper.
