At the moment I am thinking of building a white Army, but not Kornilov as it looks too good.
Maybe the Kornilov army should not be used by anyone at the day?  Thoughts?

Can we bring a snow cloth/terrain set up?

Yes, I'd like play more 'out of book' for both SB events this year, just to even out the effort and allow me to play! Most folks have got reasonable terrain now - so its not the scruffy felt problem any more

That and the Red Shock army are the two big boys. To be fair the points advantage does a really good job of balancing the score overall. In my experience  the 'lesser' armies can win pretty tidily. Just aim to dig in, normally rich in bodies they present a depth that is hard to beat. If you defend (getting the bonus) and have a big army point 'dis' advantage bonus, and can hold onto 2 objectives you will win.

However, having conscripts being gassed , shelled hiding in cover could be conceived as not much 'a game'... I like that challenge , but can see some might not.

I would not disallow any armies ...  Players tend to gravitate towards the better (on paper potent) armies, but they do expect you to able to deliver.

If you look at the last SB games armies like the Turks do really well (for the reasons I explained above)

Tell her it's for the motherland, and supporting the great experiment. Rise up and crush the oppressors.

Mmm... ...that should do it!

An interesting set of thoughts (and PP figures)  about the RCW.   13 years ago, but still interesting.
