MIDWAY 2019

Just watched this film, covers briefly  Pearl Harbour, Dolittle raid, coral sea before Midway.
Lots of action with historical figures portrayed. I quite enjoyed it.

I agree Stewart.  An excellent film. Very well put together. Nice that no one has made some trivial observation that a wrong rivet has "ruined their whole experience". :)

Sounds great! I wonder whether they'll be playing it on the plane when I go to see the in-laws at the end of the year...?

The great thing about WWII films for me is I donít game it so canít really tell a Sherman from a Stuart from a Matilda as well as a Panzer IV from a Tiger or a Panther - so I thoroughly enjoy the films.

Simon, I doubt it :)
It is a Chinese made film. However the Japanese are well portrayed in terms of motive and intelligence.
The CGI ships and planes are all spot on. Even the Yamato is well depicted.

This made me smile, Leman. I'm exactly the same! I can recognise a Panther from a Tiger from a Sherman, but that is the limit of my knowledge  :D
