Martin you just need to produce an army list with out armour,
Have some anti-tank infantry, but just create an infantry army.

This is all in the hands of the list creators.

1940 in January, will be a tad early for me as will be plastered from fingers to upper arm. Will not have time to paint an army to take part.

If someone could lend Ben an army he would love to play.

Yes, I could be up for this too, using an early war army. Early desert really appeals, but I suspect that NW Europe would be easier due to scenery etc.

If you want early desert we could make it realistic and play on the beach in Weymouth

Yes PBI is an Infantry game.
But in the Support role especially in the later war years the Tank is part of the infantry force, as they work hand in hand with each other.
Now thatís set the record straight.
No need to make any special lists up ? As the game goes what is needed is in the lists.
My second game yesterday against Stewart , needed my Main Infantry to turn up and do their Job. As the tanks needed them.

Like Simon if we do 1940 first I will not have an Army ready. Especially that early next year.
Especially before Beachead as myself, Mike, Colin and Simon have a game to put on in February.
If people want to have a PBI in January? Then letís make it an open one ???
Letís show the game off as per rules ?
Then have the 2 speacil days at times that most people that want to get involved can ?
Likes of Stewart, Simon and Sean can only attend  so many of these days at Entoyment for various reasons.

I am not setting any goals buy would anticipate 5 or 6 journeys south next year. One will be the WWW. One will be either Beachhead or Stewart's Bovington show (Or is that Beachhead?...i forget!)
So maybe 4 other events.

As well as PBI, I would like to play any of Vikings, SCW, ECW, ACW, PITS, Bloody Barons, AWI, AK47, HAMMERIN Iron, Samurai, Western or Vietnam.

Square Bashing will hopefully be at Daventry again.

I think that covers it.

Sean, So Roughly Once ever 2 months then ?
Then there is Stewart and his Dog sitting times ? March/April is usually a bad month or so for Stewart ?
We know Stewart can do late January.
Beachhead is early February.
Miles.

Roughly, but this month I am travelling south twice in two weeks. As ever, it's a case of set the date I will do my best to attend. Having had an awful year this year, things are now a lot clearer and I am keen to make the most of whatever gaming is on offer.

So...set the dates and I can plan ahead.

Being self employed work comes first so I can keep buying toys.
The games weekend is local so I can still attend some of the day if I have to work, Bovington - Sue May be able to cover me for that.
Any other day I plan to attend but I can get work at short notice and depending what it is I sometimes have to drop out of playing and go to work.
Hence why I canít play out 11th Jan at the moment.
So plan the events and if I am free I will support the day.

Stewart shall we do early war on Saturday 18th January?
If two people are guaranteed then others can join if they like.
If players would rather keep their options open then there is no need to have an event early next year.
If you cannot commit I do understand, income must come first.
Just let me know if you can be definite or not.
Otherwise we might then just leave it open for some future date after May?

Martin

Ben will play, it will be a scratch force using our 1944 Heer infantry in field grey (sorry rivet counters). Have a couple of old PZ38T's.

I will watch as I will be in plaster still following my op.

18th January looks good for me for 1940. My KNIL Dutch army can double as a home army.
Just me being thick perhaps, but I have some later war armies and with a few minor adjustments hey ho they are early war. Admittedly, the armour is very period specific but why not try just using foot troops.
