Thanks for organising,  Miles, as well as the loan of all those boxes of scenery!

A very enjoyable day, with thanks too to Big Mike and Colin for their patience and sportsmanship.

We were as usual well looked after by the staff at Entoyment, whose well-stocked store yet again was too tempting to resist a few purchases...

The organising is a collective thing by RFCM members. One person takes lead, books the event , those that want to play do their thing to join in. Then we have 5/6-8 players.
Like I ve said before scenery is a thing I enjoy making, hence why I have so much.
I will make those Various Rocky outcrops, as Martin suggested with cork.
Events like this is take the best from everyone, do what your good at the rest with a bit of hard work comes together.

Very enjoyable day, thanks to Martin for doing all the driving and to those that traveled a distance to join us.
Entoyment staff looked after us very well running up and down stairs with food and drink.
My Hurtgen forest Xmas army did very well, I think they will fight again.

Glad you all had such a good day. Hopefully I will be able to attend in 2020 if the  dates fall right. 1940 Fall of France - can I use British desert troops or Japanese? I don't have any European 1940's companies.

What a splendid  couple of days.

Rob, I am sure would have been pleased with how his Germans performed.

I've missed you lot!

John, neither do I - yet - but I am starting work on one that I plan to have finished by the time of the event (especially if Miles goes for the more historically appropriate slot of after the summer  ;) )

Depends on what dates people want next year ? Both the fall of France and Germany were April, May of there respective years.
We could do the Fall of Reich first if that gives people chance including myself to paint what they need for 1940.
Your thoughts ?
I myself I ve got plenty of British and German tanks for 1944/45/46 ? Eras.
First time my Comets can come out to play.
Dave W come up with a good idea for 2021 ?
Basically a Paper Panzer Era type of game, as there is plenty of tanks about nowadays, I see an JS 3 is being released very shortly.
So many ideas about for games
Your thoughts ? Miles

My thoughts (from a purely selfish perspective, given the troops I have now, and those in the pipeline), would be Fall of the Reich first, with 1940 later in the year (after the summer hols), please Miles!

Don't forget that PBI is an infantry game.
Tank battles are well catered for by flames of war, what a  *anker  etc.
I would even quite like some non-tank games.

I see no problem with a day of tank gaming if that is wanted. It is very easy to set up a game day at Entoyment.  Maybe use the FOW tanks game or  *anker . These games are quite short.  Might also get a lot of Entoyment regulars to join in as they would know the rules and have loads of tanks too. Then players might get 4 games in a day?

May I suggest that we have a 1940 day in January?  This could be Desert or Europe. Might be better to do one or the other for the sake of scenery.
If folk express a  preference and there are 2 or more players  I will go ahead and organise it.
I am happy to make a new army for either theatre.

January Saturdays are 11th, 18th and 25th

Another idea might be to do  far east with marines, Japanese , 14th army , Chinese etc....

At the moment I can do either 18th or 25th Jan.
I have early war Europe French, British, German and North Africa British and German.
Scenery and mats for both.
