20th anniversary
« on: September 14, 2019, 03:52:09 PM »
AK 47 has been around for 20 years. From initial rough drafts through proper edition 1  and edition 2.
To mark this there will be a celebratory figure.
More information on the way over the next two weeks.

I have to be very careful. :-\ Remember the Jonas Savimbi family attempted to sue the computer company   https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-35894116
that had a figure like him as their  warlord in a computer game.
Surely Warlord butchers have rights?

Savimbi family might try to influence the sculpting on the figure. Maybe a bigger smile?

The original AK47 was my first introduction to RFCM and Peter Pig. I remember seeing the PP stand at the Devizes show back in the late nineties and being intrigued with all the figures and vehicles on display for AK47.

I'm pretty sure my copy of the originally published version has 1997 on the front.

Weren't there a number of different versions / updates to the "original" version?

You may well be right. I withdraw my use of the word "original" :)
