Flames of war mat
« on: January 23, 2020, 06:35:31 PM »
I have ordered a flames war mat for the new SSPBI.
Mine has been on back order for two months.
They seem to be out of stock everywhere.

Here is the question
1. Is it out of print temporarily whilst waiting for the printers.
2. Is it being withdrawn and being replaced.
3.Is it being deleted

I think it is best that we indulge in fact free wild speculation. ;D

My first thought was that it is chemically dangerous with strange chemical effects  when touched. Hence it is a class B drug?

No. It's printed in China and is currently in quarantine.

I should have added: yet another reason to buy British and support the smaller hobby firms.

I have two theories.
1. Gaming mats have fallen victim to one Trump's many trade disputes/ tariffs.
2. Brexit. What else! Everything from now on is likely to be blamed on it.
3. Climate change.
OK that's 3 things. Think of it as my homage to the late great Terry Jones.

No, I think you some Middle East terror cell has bought up vast quantities to plan dastardly deeds on. Worst of all though, they are using 28mm figures  >:( >:(

Don't be silly. Their little mini lawnmowers (used by quality control to ensure correct scale grass height), have broken down. What with <inhales through teeth> time, parts, labour, Derek from spares being off sick, and the Chinese New Year holiday they can't rightly say when they will be fixed.
