Continuing 15mm Italian Wars for Furioso
« on: June 30, 2019, 09:13:51 AM »
Having produced a fair bit for Milan, I took a break and did these Venetian gendarmes. The middle block is my original Impetus base from about 10 years ago, Venexia models plus one Mirliton. The side bases to make it a Furioso unit are a mix of newly painted Mirliton and Essex.

I had previously done this group of Milanese gendarmes, a mix of Mirliton, Essex, Minifigs and Foundry (a range they produced for about three or four years, then withdrew).

This closeup shows the Foundry figures: the figure in the blue helmet and the figure with the tall red plume on the left.

Very nice paint job and good photography too. Those Italian wars are very pretty in wargames. Some of the SCW buildings would look good with them.

Will take a look at those Martin; thanks.

Well I took a look at the POE buildings (also useful for SCW) and I think they would make excellent buildings for Renaissance Italy. Also looking at the gun emplacements with gabions and they would be particularly useful for the heavy guns that will remain emplaced.
