oh dear...
« on: February 06, 2019, 10:46:55 PM »

I'm currently sat in A&E awaiting transfer to a ward. I appear to have contracted some killer bacterial infection that has floored me. I'm in need of 24-48 hours of I.V. antibiotics. My temperature peaked at 40.1  :-[

I think it might mean my trip south has been kiboshed.

Or, on the positive side, can you get any painting done when on an IV drip and a temperature > 40 C...?  ;)

Medical update...

I think I've slept for roughly three and half minutes all night. Several admissions overnight with clanking trolleys, beeps 2nd alarms mean a hospital ward ironically is not the most restful place overnight!

Should see the Dr. at some point this morning.

Ouch, that sounds pretty horrendous. Hoping the Doctor can work some magic for you this morning...

At least there's free WiFi to keep me going.

Lisa is bringing a couple of books in from home for me so a chance to catch up on some reading. Beevors Arnhem and Dominion by CJ Sansom which is an alternative history 'we lost the war' tale where we surrender in 1940. It's set in 1952 so that will be interesting!

Bad luck Sean. Will put up some 28mm Italian Wars - something a little different from my usual fare. Take care.

I've just started reading Beevor's Arnhem myself. So far, it's at least as good as his other books I've read. However, it seems to be missing any orders of battle, which is something of a disappointment.

Sorry to here you're so poorly.
Good to see that Lisa has brought you some books to read and will bring the figures and paints when you're feeling better.

Keep us updated with your progress.
