I consider myself a gamer, not a modeller. I do like my figures to be painted nicely, based nice and to fight over nice scenery but if I can achieve that.by cheating and cutting corners then I'll do that just to get the figures to the table and playing the game quicker.
With you on that one. Best we can ever achieve is a pastiche. If it feels right it is good enough!

Todays painting. 16th Light Dragoons, 1st Continental Dragoons and 4 field guns. I WILL get the AWI back log cleared by years end!

Those are nice. In my quest to find a colour I like for  bronze barrels, what colour do you use?

Its the Vallejo bronze. Gives great coverage with one coat. The guns are sprayed white and then washed in the main carriage colour. Brinze and gun metal are added in before a wash with Agrax Earthshade.

Pictures will be forthcoming prior to New Year but I still have 2 units of cavalry, Highlmaders and a unit of British Light Infantry in Light Bob hats to finish. It will be tight but with a push I think I can do it amd my AWI rebuild will be all bit done.

Trouble is I'll have tonight, Saturday and Sunday night's as my only allotted painting time! Better crack on!
