So who's some good ideas for building tank defences, I have some Czech hedge-hogs. I can cut some square timber to make square concrete  cubes.  Any other ideas?

Whats the rational behind changing the generals rolls from 5 and 6 to just 6.
I think it will take longer to carry out in the play sequence as most will reroll the dice therefore taking twice as long.
In the last few games we have played we felt we had some attribute after the first run through that we would not reroll.

Good to see Levy down graded.

Just need some force characteristics now to give the different armies different fighting abilities.

Out of interest what are the armies that the other play testers are using?

Another game of BB39 today.
We took the smallest army with cavalry and the largest army but with out the gun and cavalry, waste of hard-earned points.
So the defender had 3 household foot, 7 retinue foot, 1 retinue cavalry, 2 household cavalry, 13 units.
The attacker had 1 household foot, 11 retinue foot, 7 levy.
Game took 2 hours and lasted for 6 turns.  Result defender 56 points, attacker 8 points.
Attacker generals' CinC target, sub general 1 target, unreliable, morale, sub general 2 unreliable.
Defender generals CinC assault.
The defender lost 12 half bases and 3 units off table.
Gentle hill, empty, empty, meadow.
Empty, empty, empty, empty.
Wood, empty, marsh (removed in scenario setup), empty.
Rough hill, wood, empty, buildings.
Defender edge, nothing was moved in the setup.
Generals worked well, a couple died.
We had a general advance by both sides, the cavalry charged a zone with two units in it, the unit fell back as it was about to be charged by a strong ward the cavalry had past through.
Both sides assaulted, with usually the defender winning as there were more bases in his army and new strong levy could be brought up to relieve units suffering casualties. So the attacker was beaten back and some units pushed off table.  We felt that the levy are to strong in fights etc.  there are no downs for the levy and not many ups for the household.  So there is little difference between the best and the worst troops in the army.  Both side hit the 14 dice cap several times and only once did we get to the minimum of 4 dice cap.
Cavalry, guns, hand gunners, and other incidents could just become assets and then create some differences between the various armies that fought in this era.  This could be linked to army lists that would create armies of the different factions, royalist, barons, or just the loyal forces of the landed gentry.

Its been a few days now since the last edition, either Martins ill, on holiday, or doing a complete rewrite for a new game called BB.

Can some one post an update on using photographs on the RCFM site referencing photographs from another internat location.

I know that photos use a lot of space on the RCFM web site and this is then helped by using other places to put the photos and then reference them.

I know there have been problems with photobucket.  I now use IMGUR to host my photos and then reference them. What sites do others use?

Can the instructions be explained in simple one step actions. Martin has pictures he wants to display and I expect other do as well.

BB 21 Errors and omissions.
In the main rules Page 29. Item 13 Restore ward should read 3,4,5,6. To match the play sheet.
On the play sheet turn sequence item 11 should read 4,5,6 to match main rules.
Page 9, restoring order should read 4,5,6 not just 5,6.
Page 12, Moving in or out of scenery the main rules do not have the second attempt of 4D6 on the second attempt.
Page 13 Shooting in out of woods not on the play sheet.
Page 14 main rules Mercurial general. Play sheet missing qualifier for hill or linear when troops may stand or fall back.
Page 35. Wards standing their ground, play sheet is missing 4th hit on general, no movement next turn after losing a fight, target ward may not shoot.
Page 35. Wards swapping not on the play sheet.
Page 39. Fight D6 in main rules gives 2D6 for fighting from an enemy zone, not 1D6 as on the play sheet.
Page 41. Winning the fight markers, the play sheet does not state that 2 or more morale fails and all the markers are lost by the ward.
Page 41. After a fight all winning the fight markers are removed by the ward, this is not on the play sheet. New winning the fight markers are placed again if the ward is successful.
Page 49. Thoughts, No mention of castles!!

Not wishing to be negative, just point out some errors that other play testers may not have noticed.
