The cavalry

There were no real cavalry in the AWI just dragoons etc. Does this make the game (AWI) more or less interesting?  i would expect Banistre Tarleton to chip in here if he is still alive.

More interesting, and it saves you some masters to make.

It's still an exciting period with light troops, long rifles and indians

Perhaps the fact that there are "only" dragoons makes it rather more interesting than less i.e. the variety between unts and forces is somewhat more subtle than the "basic" infantry / cavalry / artillery of the (often larger and more formal) conventional black powder battles in the European theatre?

I hope that no-one's been complaining?

No not at all. The different quality and type of foot (light infantry, line , militia) and theaters all make for interesting games, the small scale and mix of uniforms also make it interesting to paint. I've always enjoyed a game of  Washington's Army, you have to look after your cavalry cos there won't be much.

Well I'm going to beg to differ - I find it less interesting and much prefer Seven Years War Europe.

The Seven Years War in India has a lot going for it as well.
