These Dark Ages Campaign rules have been devised by Michael Humphrey and Duncan Sargent as optional add-ons to the excellent standard PP Longships rules. We have enjoyed playing the campaign over a 10 week period to a clear conclusion. Each player has  a "Campaign Treasury" of 1000 points to start. Casualties, destroyed ships and lost villages will all reduce your "Campaign Treasury" whilst inflicting routs on your enemy and collecting plunder in the Raid game  will add to your wealth.  There are some shortcuts used, as you will see, to get into the fighting quickly. One of the spin-offs was the design and building of extra scenery, additional armies and equipment.Please feel free to use them and discard the bits you don't like etc. We will add some photos soon. In the meantime if you decide to use these rules we hope you enjoy playing the Campaign or just try a one-off battle with one of the three game types.

What a great idea - thanks chaps. Very much looking forward to some pictures and AARs (both tactical and strategic!).
