Vines for partial terrain in Bayonets and Ideology
« on: October 11, 2017, 10:34:56 PM »

My first picture to the group since losing the use of phitibucket. The new SCW rules require players to provide a number of partial terrain pieces. I have some nice drystone walls and orchard trees I picked up at Derby from the Treefellas to make a start on the terrain. They are lovely and a great price.

They also had some vines on sale at 2.50 a piece. I reckoned on needing 3 per 6" square. On looking more closely I thought I'd save myself the money and have a go at making my own...which you can hopefully see in the picture above. They are 6" craftsticks for the base with three short lengths of matchstick as posts. The craftstick was textured and drybrushed before using a hot glue gun to stick on clump foliage as the vines...clearly ready for harvesting!

I've enough for 4  squares of partial terrain adding a nice touch of rural Spain to the table.

Will do Stewart.

I'm getting into a bit of a painting and making (or cutting and sticking as Lisa calls it!) frenzy ready for the weekend which is my Wargaming highlight of the year.
