Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee
« on: October 09, 2017, 02:22:30 PM »
I read this year's ago and was moved by it then. I'm now listening to it on Audible and it's moving me again.

It is wonderful account of the Indian experience during the American expansion west, so called manifest destiny.

It is hard reading at times and paints a very different picture to the old western films. For instance i didn't know that scalping was a European thing adopted by the settlers. the Indians only started to do it as revenge against the white man.

I am now looking at getting an Indian force based on either the Cheyenne or the Sioux for the new rules.
