PBI day 2018
« on: December 27, 2017, 06:39:38 PM »
Evening all need to know when to set the games day ? June and July  are filled up by the looks of it and Salute is in April and Beachhead in February.
May and September would be good months ???
As it's 75th anniversary of 1943 in 2018. 1943 Army's are order of the Day. So no King Tigers or Sherman Fireflies !!! For example.

43 sounds good Miles. Is there enough interest to do just Pacific/far east?  Japanese vs all comers??

Mike could use his Dutch.  PP would see a lot of new Japanese, 14th army , USMC  etc...  Not many tanks.  Surely ideal???

Excellent for publicizing the PP figures for use in the far east.
Having watched Band of Brothers I will now need to find my copies of Letters from Iwo Jima, Flags of Our Fathers and The Pacific.
And as Martin says not much armour and certainly nothing too special.

Could create a Chinese army for the period using Germans and Americans.

14th army. Better make sure this does not "snowball" before Miles sees this.

8th army figures would be fine for far east.
Japanese naval troops.

Yes a couple of amtracs would be nice but I like the idea of veteran PBI....no vehicles.

Also all of the jungle I made for Vietnam could make the shirt hop over to Iwo Jima no problem at all.

You'll be able to get the mules out and painted. Good for HYITJ assets as well.

I was going to do a British army for Tunisia/Italy with Churchill Mk 3 and maybe a Sherman or two.
