Nice to see the provision on the Peter Pig website for 11 new NVA codes :)

Figures to buy and pictures up soon...?

Yep,if i get on with some actual work. I have been ding bicycles this morning. I feel the need to get on with the NVA!

Quite. We don't need bicycles [particularly dinged bicycles :) ] - well, maybe not yet - I'm sure that will come though...  ;)

We need nice new shiny NVA to distract us from all our other good intentions.

Perhaps you can even provide evidence of progress when I pop down tomorrow morning...?  8)

And very convincing evidence of progress on the NVA has indeed been provided (many thanks Martin)!

Here are some pictures of pre-production castings from the new NVA packs:

60. NVA  LMG firing
61. NVA  LMG advancing
62. NVA AK47 kneeling
and some NVA heads

There's a slight casting problem with the legs and face of the figure in the top left-hand corner, but this will no doubt be fixed before full-scale production commences.

These are lovely figures, and rather more finely detailed then their predecessors (painted white on the right-hand side, for comparison). The new sculpts seem a little taller, but proportionately (and, I think, appropriately) slimmer.

Very much looking forward to these coming out, together with the other NVA packs Martin is working on.

Yes a great improvement on the variety from the previous few figures.

These first 3 codes are now available for purchase on the PP website. If Martin can kindly provide some photos of the "production" figures, I'll put them in the News banner.

Next up appear to be:

63. NVA prone AK47/LMG
64. NVA AK47 advancing
65. NVA  NCOs + AK47

All very exciting!

Pictures up on the PP website today, I see, as well as AK 47-armed standing firing and advancing (packs 64 and 66).

Will try to get something up on the News section later...

Christmas holidays project for you and Ben.
With both of you working the production line.

Take a look at the Russian painting guide in the Square Bashing army tutorials.

Its a bit like that at the moment Les, with a good few hundred 'Internationals ' in the kitchen utility at the moment. We are working on Madrid 1936, which we would like to do at Fisticuffs. Buildings, figures etc all sourced and being worked through. Trouble is with one working hand I am very slow, plus I have two operations scheduled for early next year? But we will keep calm and carry on.

The pack variety is looking good, and it's not even through yet, haha! Will the VC be getting a similar treatment? Either way, the revitalization is a good excuse for me to get into NVA finally.

Hi Les

Unfortunately it will never heal, will lose it eventually. But having to get use to being permanently disabled, worse part is being medically retired in the New Year after 30 years in a career that I have loved. Plus side I will have some spare time to play with?
