Miles I will not be able to attend.

Looks like you have 4 listed below. Is Martin bring other Weymouth residents, Wardy and any of his family.

As its PBI Peter must be wanting to play!!

Are the Bridport lads up for a game?

Have you check to see if Mark Evans is home or in the USA?

And of course you have STaB,  its not a club Sunday so some must want to attend as its so close for them. Hobbs has his Japanese and I am sure Pete L has at least one army.

Matt Hay has surfaced for HYITJ may be he can be tempted.

Stewart has asked me to remind me to tell everybody about PBI games day at Entoyment in Poole.
The rough theme for the day is "Fall of the Reich"
A rough guide, timetable for the day:
Proposed start time Doors open 0800/0830. 08.30, to set up, pay entrance fee,tea and coffee etc.
First game start 0900/0930 end game 1130/1200.
Have lunch hopefully in the cafe next door. (Need to go and talk to them)
Restart 1330/1400 and end game about 1700/1730.
Give any prizes etc have discussion about good and bad points of the day/games and future prospects, pack up and go home 1800.
These are only rough timings as such but we need to have a timetable in place for the slower player to know we need to finish at sometime in the day.
Martin wants us to have 2 games and lunch in between.

I still need to know who is coming please ? I have set this up for you as requested by you and now everyone is seemingly washing their hair or dog walking or something? ? ???
I know it's on the South coast but it is where I live, so I can't help where the venue is !
I also always ask for suggestions and feedback on these events and if I don't get any I cannot react to them and change dates or how we run these events.
I very been asked what about doing something like we did for Cambrai this year with several tables and events linked, example Ardennes?  Which I would love to do as the rules will allow for a "bigger" game I think. But the problem is getting people to come, after you have arranged it.
You have asked about PBI games day/competition ? I have supplied the date and venue please turn up ?

Miles was also meant to ask who can supply a game set up, i.e. Game mat and scenery for a full game?

We can, just a 25 minute trip into Vire, a bar their keeps Guinness on draught.  The only problem is the Gendarmes who tend to keep a regular watch in this part of town.

Wow - that is quite a find - I take it all back!

Now all you need to do is practise saying "Les Guerriers du Marais Saint-Hilaire Petitville" after 5 pints, having avoided the local constabulary...

Miles

My job is unpredicatable at the best of times. My new rota put me onto working 1 in 10 weekends around 4 weeks ago. Really sorry for not being able to make PBI. I am free to make CWB but I can never give 100% certainty of attendance.

Don't worry Miles
The Weymouth contingent will be there. they are always enough to start a good fight!  Sean travels a huge distance to get down to PP type events and each time he does I am very grateful. Don't think any other group member travels the distances that Sean does to attend PP  gaming.  Judge not. The church has to follow the hours of it's "parishioners".  Not sure if any of us travel far for a wargame day. I drove up to the midlands to take part in square bashing.  A great day , but obviously  a distance.
Sean is beyond any reproach!

It will be a good day I am sure Miles.

Thank you Martin.

I do enjoy my time with you all down south and will always try to get to events. See you on Saturday and then hopefully for CWB

Luckily PBI day falls on my weekend off so I can attend. A little disappointed Sean is not attending as traditionally Sean and I compete for the wooden spoon ( I beat Sean to it at  Square Bashing day). Should be a good day, just need to re read the rules and watch the videos on the PP website. Games on a 'toy' shop what more could you want.
